Forfar’s Peter Low and Barry Russell from Brechin were the only local drivers in the Saloons.. Low won both of the heats but in the first he had to fend off a challenge from Jordan Cassie before doing so, with Russell finishing in eighth place.

Although Low was again the heat two winner it was even closer than the first where he lost the lead on the last bend to Tam Rutherford Jnr, who then spun. Low was also sideways but he was collected by Andrew Mathieson and then pushed sideways across the finish line with Russell in sixth place.

Low failed to appear for the final which was fast despite the conditions with Tam Rutherford Jnr taking the lead early on and at onetime had a big lead. As the laps dwindled so too did his lead but he was still clear of Kyle Irvine and Ian McLaughlin at the close with Russell in sixth place

The Micro Bangers turned up for their Scottish Supreme Championship. Harry Cobb went on to win but he did lose the lead for a brief spell when Callum Campbell came from the back of the grid to take the lead only to slide into a three car shunt and that ended his race. After that Cobb ran away from the field to win from Callum Lamont and Fraser Little. Cobb won the first heat from Sean McConnachie with their roles reversed in heat two with Campbell rolling his car towards the end of the race.

The next meeting at the Racewall is on Friday 29th at 7pm.
