At a special party organised by the team, everyone swapped cards and gifts with their loved ones as part of a Valentine's Wishes idea.

Staff at the home handed out ‘love coupons’ allowing residents to receive special, individually-tailored treats after asking them what they would choose with one wish. These ranged from a fish supper from The Steeple, while another wanted to share pizza with her grandson.

Everyone enjoyed chocolate and cakes to celebrate the romantic day, with the home decked out in hearts and other Valentine's-themed decorations. Some residents also wrote love letters and poems.

Lisa Thomson, home manager, said: "Our residents mean the world to us, and we were determined and excited to make Valentine's Day special for all of them.

"Our staff did an amazing job organising some wonderful activities, and we also had some fabulous support from the local community. We are so grateful to everyone who helped - they really made it a day to remember for all of our residents. And for us too!”
