When I think of cocktails, I tend to imagine them being drunk by beautiful people in swanky nightclubs in glitzy places like New York or Paris.

Sometimes the thought of a zingy Margarita or a frothy Daiquiri can transport me to exotic beach locations in far flung corners of the globe. Rarely do I envisage myself sipping a fancy cocktail in my living room watching the telly on a Friday night.
